Perry is the principal and founder of The Preparatory Magnet School in Hartford. Steve Perry s commitment to the community began long before he received his masters in social work from the University of Pennsylvania. Even as an undergraduate, he proved that there is more than one road to take to empower the community. Whether working for a US Senator, mayor or presidential candidate as an undergraduate at the University of Rhode Island, or later while serving as director of a homeless shelter, Steve has explored many facets of empowerment.
