Michael is President of Samuelson & Associates, LLC, a management consulting firm that specializes in personal and professional productivity. Prior to this, he directed The National Center for Health Promotion (NCHP), an organization he co-founded in 1977. Over the years, NCHP earned a reputation as an international leader in the design and delivery of health management programs and instructor materials. As president and CEO, Michael led his marketing team to provide services to over 1,000 corporations and 800 medical centers, and directed a program of development and training for over 4,500 health promotion instructors in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. He is widely published and is a frequent director and advisor to numerous prestigious boards and health organizations including WELCOA, HealthLift, Optate, Inc., and Nexcura. Michael is viewed as a leader in health development, maintenance, and responsibility. He is the author of Voices from the Edge, a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Michigan with a Master of Arts Degree in education, Michael has appeared on over 200 television and radio stations throughout North America, and has been interviewed by numerous print publications including Newsweek, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. His work in the area of behavior change was featured on the ABC news program, 20/20. As a healthcare consumer advocate he recently appeared on the CBS Morning Show and the MSNBC talk show HomePage. In addition, Michael is a frequent guest host for the American Cancer Society's Cancer Survivor Network; is a member of the Steering Group for the eHealth Code of Ethics; and serves at the request of former President George Bush and Mrs. Bush as a Collaborating Partner with the National Dialogue on Cancer.
