It describes the negative as well as the positive aspects of what prison life can be.

The author's life behind prison wall began when he was 19 years of age, then concluded his prison experience at the age of 32 years of age. All but 9 months of his twenties were spent behind prison walls. The author has served time for armed bank robbery with two different 20 year sentences. This time was server in over seven different federal prisons through out the U.S.

The author was awarded three college degrees while serving his time.

In 1982 he was paroled and immediately secured gainful employment at a major fast food restaurant in the Dayton, OH area. Then in 1985 he gained employment at Piedmont Airlines, which then became USAir, and then went on to become US Airways, Inc.

After 17 years of service in the area of marketing and sales of the airline, the author was terminated, because he was told that the company does not hire ex-felons.

This was all prompted by his book, How To Survive And Excel In Prison (Within And Without).
