Beginning with the Roman Empire, St. Valentine's Day continued through the Middle Ages and the Christian Church. The 1500s rhymes, 1600s pictures, and 1700s sentiments evolved into the first Christmas Card in England in 1846. Louis Prang introduced the greeting card in America. Today St. Valentine's Day is more popular than ever with both young and old, children and adults.
