The Menu is New Haven's first and only comprehensive restaurant guide. The "relentlessly opinionated" first edition quickly became a classic, and this revised and updated second edition is bigger and better, with 120 new reviews and expanded coverage that now includes Milford, Guilford, Branford, Hamden, East Haven, West Haven, Orange and Woodbridge. For less than the price of one bad meal, Goldstein and Murumba provide an unflinching and entertaining guide to eating in and around the New Haven area.

Robin Goldstein has been writing about food for over ten years, with credits in more than 30 travel guides for Europe and the Americas, including the last seven editions of Fodor's Italy. Trained in cooking at the French Culinary Institute in New York City, Robin has spent the past six years living, eating, and writing in New Haven, Italy, and New York, where he is food correspondent to the Metro newspaper.
Clare Murumba, who co-authored the first edition and contributed to this second edition of The Menu, wrote her first opinionated restaurant review in 1997, for The Harvard Crimson. Robin and Clare met first in Cambridge, and again in New Haven, where they spent some time attending law school, and the remainder exploring the blossoming local culinary landscape. Together she and Robin have been spreading the gospel of New Haven's deep epicurean traditions and burgeoning restaurant renaissance since The Menu first debuted in 2003. Dubbed "dining's dynamic duo," Clare and Robin have been food correspondents for New Haven newspapers, and guests on Good Morning Connecticut. Clare is currently training at the French Culinary Institute in New York City.
