Biografía del autor:
A professional animal photographer for over 35 years, Susan Ley began her career on a Kentucky llama farm when she picked up a camera and resolved to capture her unique animals on film. “Back then, there weren't any books on how to photograph domestic animals,” Susan remembers, “so I designed a course and taught myself. It was lots of fun and very creative. I couldn't wait to get back my proofs to see what I was accomplishing. Before long I was actually taking some pretty good images!” Excited with her success, she began sending photographs to magazines and calendar companies. The editors and art directors scooped them up and requested more. “Seeing my photographs in print was addictive,” she remembers, and her career was on its way. She wrote and photographed Llamas; Woolly, Winsome and Wonderful, signed with the prestigious stock photo agency, Animals Animals/Earth Scenes, developed a series of “how to” seminars on animal photography, and sold countless articles and photographs to magazine, book, calendar and poster companies. For many years she was the top llama and alpaca photographer in North America, working with art directors, editors and breeders on advertising campaigns.Susan lives in Key Largo, Florida where she enjoys the turquoise waters with her family and her Irish Terrier, Morgan. She is currently working on a pictorial picture book featuring boat dogs and their adventures on the water. Check out her web site, www.susanleyphotography.com for more information.
