Dr. Wilkinson is a clinical professor of ophthalmology in the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences there is consistently ranked as one of the best ophthalmology teaching programs in the United States. Dr. Wilkinson serves on the Executive Committee of the American Optometric Association Low Vision Rehabilitation Section and the Planning Committee of the National Eye Institute’s National Eye Health Education Program. He has published extensively and spoken all over the globe concerning issues related to visual rehabilitation. He teaches optics to the ophthalmology residents at the University of Iowa and around the world.
