Inhaltsangabe

It is summer 2002 in DC s Capitol Hill neighborhood, and Dee Young is heartsick after her husband Dan s death. Dee finds herself conducting two secret correspondences: one-way emails to Dan and two-way letters with Bathsua Reginald Makin, a 17th-century Londoner who was like Dee a teacher, writer, wife, and mother. From Dee s annus horribilis comes a celebration of the endurance of love, the evolution of grief, and the healing power of work.
