Bhavani Girard has been a life-long devotee of God. Deciding at an early age that she wanted to follow the spiritual life, she has found great joy in that commitment. Through many years of study and practice in her own spiritual path she has experienced a very personal, deep sense of inner peace. Bhavani has always had an interest in other spiritual paths as well. Further studies of many other spiritual paths has clearly revealed to her the many similarities and universality of true spiritual teachings. As a minister and spiritual teacher, Bhavani has been able to share her accumulated wisdom with many students through the years. Her message has always been: "Find a spiritual path that feels right for you, then go deep into its practices. Shallow efforts will never bring the experience of God's presence, but determination and perseverance will." Bhavani is the director of the Sierra Center for Interfaith Studies, which offers a program that trains individuals to become ordained Interfaith Ministers.
