The body, Solly suggests, is not simply a container or tabernacle for the superior and distant soul. Richard Solly received Masters degrees from Iowa State University and the Hazelden Graduate School of Addictive Studies. His writings have received four Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowships, the Bush Foundation Fellowship, the Loft-McKnight Award. He currently works as a senior acquisition editor for Hazelden Publishing.
