The present tense narrative is interwoven with her past experience in Tokyo, Okinawa, and Paris. Mizuo s participation in a colorful mind-body workshop, her witnessing of a secret ritual where women become goddesses, and an experience of mystical fusion on the peak of Macchu Picchu play a part in her final transformation.
