Inhaltsangabe

The Way of the Red Dragon is a memoir of a powerful healer, John Myerson. It chronicles his lifelong journey in service to help others grow and heal through his unique style of present-day shamanism. John is a graduate of Harvard University and has a doctorate in psychology. He has integrated a host of complementary modalities-Zen, Oriental Medicine, internal Taoist martial and healing arts-in his personal quest to cultivate Power. He uses Power-condensed energy-both here on the earthly plane and in the Realms for healing on The Way, that spiritual pathway to The One. John explains: "I recount many stories of dissonance-for myself and with my patients-where resolution arises from embracing what I call Inner Alchemy and the Journey Within. The only way out of psycho-spiritual and emotional turmoil is by working through personal resistance and releasing life trauma. Power is the key. "Where's the Power?" Without hesitation, I point to you. It is within you. It is within all of us. Ultimately, the Power is not yours. It is not mine. It comes from the One. It flows through me. It flows through you. It flows through us all... if we are unencumbered and allow it. I hope my story of cultivating and harnessing shamanic power inspires you to find your own Power." John is an impressive healer who treats extremely complex cases using shamanic techniques. This book is the natural byproduct of John's relentless path on behalf of others-and his path is unique. Michael Short, MAOM, Lic.Ac. Assistant Professor New England School of Acupuncture Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences In this book, readers will learn about John's truly extraordinary story-one that molded him into the enigmatic archetypes he exemplifies as mystic, healer, warrior, and shaman. The combined grit of these personas is what makes him a fierce warrior shaman. Co-author Jay Thomas, M.A., M. Ed.
