Economics is the science of production and exchange, and capitalism is the inalienable right to life and property applied to economics. Exchange is what takes place naturally among humans when humans are left free. Why, then, is economic freedom under such unrelenting assault from both sides of the political spectrum? The answer, in large part, is that people simply don't understand the nature of capitalism - which is the full recognition of private property rights and the corollary freedom to exchange that property.
