Fay Risner lives with her husband, Harold, on a central Iowa acreage along with their sheep, milk goats, chickens, rabbits and cats. They have one son, Duane. Now that she has retired from her CNA job at the local nursing home, she divides her time between writing, enjoying country life, gardening and fishing. She has sold six stories to Good Old Days magazine and entered short story and essay contests, placing numerous times. Risner's books, with 12 font print, are reader friendly. Her stories have a Midwest, Iowa, small town flair or western adventure. The stories pull readers into the scenes, making it hard for them to put the books down until the end. Each book leaves the reader wanting a sequel or a series to see what happens to the characters next.
