She works with individuals, couples, families, and small businesses in a generalized setting with a long term focus on personal and professional growth and development. Her combined background in mental health and business provide her with a unique perspective into helping others create positive change. She is the author A New Normal, the best-selling book that takes a candid look at grief and loss from behind the closed doors of private counseling. Both her books tackle serious subjects with a straightforward approach, often with unexpected dashes of humor. When Darlene isn’t busy being a therapist, working in her family business, or writing, you can find her in the ring at a dog show with her beautiful Polish Lowland Sheepdogs.
