Inhaltsangabe

22 June 1940. Britain stands alone. The French have signed an armistice with Hitler's Germany. Prime Minister Winston Churchill foresees looming danger. The French Navy--fourth largest in the world, comprised of dozens of powerful battleships, cruisers and destroyers--is scattered in ports throughout the Mediterranean. If French ships fall into German or Italian hands, the whole of the Mediterranean will yield to the Nazi war machine. To preserve its independence, the British must secure vessels of the French fleet moored in the harbor at Mers-el-Kébir. Amid treacherous liaisons and dark intrigues of North Africa, agents Harry Douglas and Mick MacLeod are dispatched to Oran.
