Lane Wallace is a correspondent for TheAtlantic.com and an internationally-known aviation columnist. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, ForbesLife, The Dallas Morning News, and Elite Traveler, in addition to numerous other publications. Her blog, No Map. No Guide. No Limits. (www.nomapnoguidenolimits.com), focuses on taking a more adventurous, entrepreneurial, and passion-inspired approach to life. If Wallace knows a thing or two about adventure, it’s because she left a successful corporate career 20 years ago to become an adventure writer and pilot. Since then, she’s climbed mountains in Nepal and Europe, kayaked the Na Pali Coast of Hawaii, gone wreck diving in French Polynesia, and explored glaciers in Alaska. Her adventures have also included flying relief supplies in both the Amazon jungle and conflict zones in Africa, as well as donning a space suit to fly an Air Force U-2 above 70,000 feet. Lane has been interviewed on NPR, BBC, CBC and other radio and television outlets and has spoken about adventure, passion, innovation and surviving uncertainty to a wide variety of audiences, from executive retreats and business conventions to the 92nd Street Y, Stanford University and the Society of Experimental Test Pilots.
