Hybrid Zone is more a social history of computing than a history of computer technology per se. It is about the intersection of people, science, and the activity of computing. Charlie Yood earned his Ph.D. in the History of Technology at The Pennsylvania State University. He was then a Visiting Assistant Professor in the History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science Program at Michigan State University. He currently resides in Atlanta and is President and co-owner of Rosie’s Restoration, LLC, one of the largest storm restoration contractors in the Southeast.
