Many of the prayers in this booklet were recorded word for word as they were given by the Lord to Randy and Barbara Walter. Some were adapted from directives He gave them and a few from others’ prayers.

The Walters cherish their morning and evening prayer time together as the most valuable part of their day. In addition, Barbara’s regimen of praying at least an hour every morning includes intercession for hundreds of others. Many of her prayers are included in this booklet.

The Lord has instructed Randy and Barbara to pray at hundreds of locations around the Chesapeake Bay. He has also given them prayer assignments in specific towns and cities. And He has commissioned them to mobilize a prayer army.

God knows what we need before we ask Him. The purpose of prayer is not to inform God but to increase our humility and faith, give us peace, and build our testimonies. This booklet takes its name from Hebrews 11:1, which says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
