Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Former Executive Director of the Yolo County, California Resource Conservation District, Katy Pye now lives and writes on California’s North Coast. Intrigued by her family’s and local 19th century maritime histories, she volunteers at the Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park. Camera in hand, spring is her favorite time, searching for rare and common plants in the sometimes harsh, but always beautiful bluff landscape near the Light Station. The brilliant Fresnel flash is a welcome beacon on many of her daily walks. Katy is also the author of Elizabeth’s Landing, winner of four, international book awards. Her website, blog, and books support sea turtles and young people dedicated to a better world.
