Their brief friendship explodes into a passionate encounter.  They both know their illicit affair cannot continue, but well-meaning family and friends throw them together. History with all its political intrigue and greed marches Tom and Abbey toward the terrible tragedy of Little Big Horn.

Born in western Pennsylvania, a Penn State graduate, and currently a Chester County, Pennsylvania resident, Caroline Hartman has spent the majority of her life in the Keystone State. So it is no surprise her three historical romance novels, Summer Rose, Sacred Ponies and Star Riders all begin in Pennsylvania and expand across the continent with America's history.
