Bruce Hartley was born and raised in Olathe, Kansas, and has made his home in the Kansas City metro area nearly all his life. A former missionary to Slovakia and contributing writer for the Kansas City Star, he is currently active as a small group leader in his church. A graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, he is a production and inventory management professional, having spent more than thirty years in that field working for Kansas City-area companies. He currently resides with his wife Shirley in Shawnee, Kansas, and together they have eight grandchildren. This is his first book for Ground Truth Press.
