Larry D. Clark is managing editor of Washington State Magazine, the award-winning research and alumni publication at Washington State University. Previously he worked for the Washington State Legislature, nonprofits, and a magazine in Japan. Clark has degrees in journalism and Asian studies from Washington State University and the University of Oregon. His interest in the science writing of McClure’s came from research into fiction from magazines of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
