Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and its surroundings, Michelle “Queeny” Garvey is a force not be reckoned with. Many may know Queeny as the all “Diva Of All Trades” – a rapper, ex stripper, entertainer and hustler, Queeny has finally met her calling and has branched out into the literary world. Queeny showed signs of passion for writing at a young age. She spent her childhood writing short stories, poems and songs – all of which were acclaimed by her peers and loved ones. It wasn't until Queeny hit high school and read Sister Souljah’s The Coldest Winter Ever, that Queeny picked up her pen and wrote her first novel. Queeny was destined to become a pioneer in Canada’s Urban Fiction Literature. Writing has always been therapeutic for Queeny. It is her escape from the harsh realities she has faced growing up. As a woman she has been through it all and hopes to share a piece of her story in all her work. Queeny has launched her own publishing company Eh List Publications, where she will be publishing her debut novel Sasha’s Truth. Urban fiction is a genre new to Canada and Sasha’s Truth may very well be Toronto’s first. It is turning the ears of Torontonians as the release date creeps closer. Queeny will be the next best thing to hit Toronto since Drake, as she makes a name for herself and Toronto in Urban Fiction world. Her books are the definition of “Canadian Street- Lit”. She brings drugs, sex, and murder right to your hands, grabbing her readers with her hot, sizzling, realistic story lines every time. Queeny currently lives with her girlfriend and business partner for Eh List Publishing, in Toronto. She plans on going back to school for Book Publishing and Creative Writing.
