Smart Project Management: As we enter the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and smart devices are revolutionizing the project environment. This new appendix looks at 4IR from three perspectives; a). What is Industry 4.0. b). Implications of managing cyber-physical projects. c). How to use smart devices to enhance project management techniques. 5. Project Management in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Professor Pieter Steyn has kindly written a guest appendix, which outlines why project management techniques are assuming a much more important holistic role and influence in the governance of organizational value chains than ever before.
