Inhaltsangabe

Everyman Ash lives an ego-centric life driven by desires and aversions. When his life choices culminate in a life-altering accident, he awakens in a coma, his mind reset, and reality transformed. The familiar world dissipates, thrusting Ash into the landscape of his mind. Engulfed by the enigmatic void of his unconscious, Ash emerges reborn from its fundamental element, sand. Cast into 'Cognito,' his mind's realm, he reigns supreme as its solitary sovereign. Ash commands boundless power in this ethereal domain, shaping thoughts into cascades of sand that sculpt breathtaking vistas, vibrant life, and extraordinary creations. Yet, amidst his dreams-come-true, lie shadows of potential downfall; his deepest desires and aversions materialise as adversaries, threatening his newfound kingdom. Guidance from a sage entity within Cognito becomes Ash's beacon, teaching him the art of balancing desires, taming his ego, and confronting his inner foes. As Ash navigates this surreal mental landscape, facing inner demons and manifestations, the pivotal question looms: can he maintain mastery over Cognito and find inner peace? Join Karl-Heinz Schradt's enthralling journey into the psyche with 'The Man from the Sand,' an immersive exploration of Galah Books' profound psychological and philosophical themes. Through Ash's odyssey, delve into the complexities of the human mind and the quest for inner serenity amidst a world fixated on material pursuits. Resonating with the transformative essence of timeless narratives such as the Bhagavad Gita and the Buddha's transformative journey and akin to iconic films like 'Groundhog Day,' 'The Neverending Story,' and 'The Matrix,' this narrative uncovers the pursuit of authenticity in a world besieged by material desires.
