Dr. Charlotte Laws is known throughout the world as the “Erin Brockovich of revenge porn” and was voted “one of the 30 fiercest women in the world for 2013 (Buzzfeed).”

She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a writer, television commentator and public speaker, but has also been a Buckhead debutante, magazine covergirl, private investigator, actress, Southern California politician and lecturer for the FBI in Quantico.

Laws has a Ph.D. in Social Ethics, as well as two Master’s degrees and two BAs. She has authored three books and contributed to four anthologies. Her articles have appeared in The Huffington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Salon, Jezebel and the L.A. Daily News.

Laws has appeared on “The Late Show,” Fox News, “Oprah,” “Nightline,” MSNBC, CNN, “Dr. Drew,” and “Larry King Live.” She hosted her own TV program called “Uncommon Sense” and was a weekly contributor on the NBC show, “The Filter with Fred Roggin.”

Laws—who was adopted at birth—used her investigative abilities to track down her birth family in her late 20s, but only recently met her natural siblings. Her grandfather—an attorney who planned to run for U.S. Senate—was murdered by a devil worshiper in the 1940s.

Laws is a boardmember for the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, a nonprofit that aids victims of nonconsensual pornography. She regularly communicates with victims from around the world, advising them how to get their compromising photos removed from the Internet.
