Jeryl Abelmann is a retired elementary school teacher. She is the recipient of Teacher of the Year Award for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District in California. She is a member of the Monterey Symphony and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. The Monterey Symphony for the Central Coast recognized her for "outstanding contributions to the Monterey Symphony in the true spirit of changing the world with a giving heart". She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has performed in movies, television and theater.
