Iyer is a retired board-certified surgeon, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS-C), Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS), and holds a Master's degree (MS) in surgery. He has held many leadership positions, teaching positions, and participated in various non-profit organizations. He has published several articles in professional journals and regular magazines and has given many talks and lectures in various forums. Dr. Iyer is the author of Decision Making in Clinical Surgery. He has been a General Surgery Specialist in Tarpon Springs, FL and has over 53 years of experience in the medical field.
