This was a difficult book to write. Retirement planning and concepts are highly technical by definition. I realized that I have two problems with retirement planning books. First of all, most of them are just too complex. I like short sentences, clear examples and plain English. Second, most retirement planning books are written as reference manuals. They are crammed with technical terms, scenarios, and present value calculations. Some of the material may be relevant to you today, but let’s be honest – virtually no one reads those books cover to cover. You might flip to a chapter that matters, skim it, and hope to take away enough meaningful tips to make it worth your time. This book is different! You will find the text of this book easy to follow and simple to remember. An easy read does not necessarily make this an easy subject. When you consider financial strategy, you are thinking about money, retirement and death – topics that aren’t usually discussed. That approach has landed us in some hot water as a nation. Many Americans are woefully unprepared for retirement. Most people come to me because they are unsure they can retire, concerned about the rising costs of medical care, and terrified of what would happen to their spouse when they pass on. Your concerns might fall along the same lines or be different. No matter what, I listen, ask questions, and offer my recommendations. This book will help you understand the process of retirement planning and what to expect from your advisor. Visit “Retire with Jim Hanna Wealth Advisors” at www.RetireWithJimHanna.com
