Eddie Price brings the story of the 1913 Kentucky Derby to life in this story of the Jockey, Roscoe Goose, the Owner, breeder, trainer, Thomas Patrick Hayes and the Thoroughbred, Donerail. Eddie Price is also author of the 1812 historical novel Widder's Landing and children's books featuring Lil' Miss Grubby Toes. A retired history teacher, Price also speaks on many historical topics including those featured in his books. In 2017 Eddie Price will also portray the jockey Roscoe Goose in a first person portrayal for the Kentucky Humanities Council's Chautauqua. It was from his research for this character that the book An Unlikely Trio is based on.
