Well naturally, these two friends -- Billman and Chris -- find that their excitement is barely containable as the duo and dog set about on a crusade to rid the world of the undead, and pillage the city taking whatever they desire, whether that be vehicles such as a school bus, or a tank, or comic books from the local comic shop. It's a madcap marauding of monsters and combining Billman and Chris's worst fears and greatest desires rolled up in an insane, nonsensical adventure. The boys eventually learn they are far from the only living beings as in the course of their escapades they run up against the United States military, a former comic shop owner friend now turning into a zombie, a crazed priest and his murderous nuns convinced that Chris is the Messiah, and that they are caught up in a greater battle than they imagined: The battle between HEAVEN and HELL!

Matthew Billman is a talented cartoonist from Indiana, with a wicked sense of humor and a unique style. His sense for satire and the absurd make his work on "Living With Zombies" a wild, irreverent joyride. Co-creator Christopher Herndon also originally hails from the Hoosier state, and has become a respected comic book artist working from publishers like IDW. With "Living With Zombies," one of his earliest works originally published as a comic book series, Herndon blended his dark and moody style with more comedic elements to satisfying results in this horror-comedy epic. Matthew Hawes contributed artwork to the collection, in addition to adding tones to the entire book, and serving as editor on the collection. Hawes is an artist, comic book dealer and one-time host of his own local access television program.
