Inhaltsangabe

One thief’s lucky break is his biggest professional disaster.

Spider just wanted to seek his fortune. What he got was a heist gone spectacularly wrong.

Because of a break-in that should have been simple, Spider is now stuck babysitting a powerful magic-user with sporadic control over his spells—and even less of a grip on how to function in society. He hasn't had a successful score in weeks, his "crew" is a disaster, and the ancient cults chasing him didn't get the memo that he's just in it for the gold.

In this second installment of the Impossible Quests trilogy from Writers of the Future winner John T. Haas, join a moody thief, a caster of chaos magic, and a hulking behemoth on a journey they never asked for. It’s a story of werewolves, ghosts, and a thief who would trade a legendary treasure for a clean getaway in a heartbeat.

Welcome back to the Impossible Quests.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

John T. Haas, a Canadian author from Montreal, spent twelve great years in Calgary before settling in Ottawa, though he still longs for those Rocky Mountains. Writing is his lifelong passion, but he started pursuing publishing seriously after his sons were born. Since then, he's had over thirty short stories published and authored seven novels and three anthologies. His humorous fantasy trilogy starts with "The Reluctant Barbarian." After winning the Writer's of the Future contest in 2019 with his novella "The Damned Voyage," he launched a prequel Lovecraftian trilogy with "Cults of Death and Madness," published by Wordfire Press. He also has a standalone horror novel, "Stay Out." John aims to be a full-time writer, dreaming of fame and fortune, but taking it step by step. He lives with his supportive family, who inspire and motivate him to keep writing.
