Hardcover. Zustand: new. Hardcover. Migration and Climate Change provides an authoritative overview of the relationship between climate change and migration. It brings together both case studies and syntheses from different parts of the world and critically discusses empirical evidence, methodological challenges, conceptual gaps, policy responses, and normative issues. The book constitutes a unique and thorough introduction to one of the most discussed but least understood consequences of climate change and brings together experts from a wide range of disciplines, including anthropology, climatology, demography, geography, law, political science and sociology. 'Climate refugees' are often presented as the human face of climate change. Despite media coverage of some emblematic (but often anecdotal) cases of displacement, no authoritative analysis has yet appeared. Migration and Climate Change provides a thorough introduction to a much discussed but poorly understood consequence of climate change. This item is printed on demand.
