He serves as a director on the B.C. board of the Travel Media Association of Canada. Above and beyond the travel beat, he covers the Olympic Games, World Hockey Championships, and National Hockey League for IIHF.com. He wrote the majority of the British Columbia entries for this book. Pamela Cuthbert , author of Frommer's Toronto , is a food and travel writer and editor. Her work is published in Maclean's , Saveur , The Edible City , Slow Food Almanac , and elsewhere. She wrote the Ontario top pick entries for this book. Jillian Dickens has spent the last six years living, working, and playing in Nunavut. First as a news reporter, then in tourism development, now writing about the territory from her home base in Toronto. A tourism PR specialist moonlighting as a travel writer, Jillian has published her work in the Globe and Mail , Mercedes-Benz Magazine , and Up! Magazine . She is also a contributor to Frommer's Canada and wrote the Nunavut entries for this book. During her Canadian travels Chloe Ernst has skied on the slopes overlooking her Vancouver home, boated on Montreal's Lachine Canal, and learned P.E.I. fiddle tunes. A freelance journalist, she has written guidebooks, articles, and blog posts, including contributions to Frommer's Best Hiking in British Columbia and Frommer's Vancouver & Victoria . He has authored and co-authored more than 60 guidebooks to all regions of Canada, as well as to Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. Hempstead is also co-owner of Summerthought Publishing, which produces non-fiction books about the Canadian Rockies. He lives in Banff, Alberta, with his wife and children. He is the author of Frommer's Newfoundland & Labrador and a contributor to Frommer's Canada; for this book he wrote entries covering Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and eastern British Columbia. Helena Katz is an award-winning travel writer and journalist. Her work has appeared in many publications including Up Here , Explore , the Globe and Mail , the Montreal Gazette , Canadian Geographic , Homemakers , and Above & Beyond . She is also the author of four books: The Mad Trapper , Gang Wars , Cold Cases , and Justice Miscarried: Inside Wrongful Convictions in Canada . She was raised in Montreal but now calls the North home. She lives in Fort Smith, adjacent to Wood Buffalo National Park, with her partner, their two dogs, a cat, a llama, and the only alpaca herd in the Northwest Territories. Helena wrote the Yukon and Northwest Territories entries for this book. Denis Seguin is an award-winning freelance journalist and filmmaker based in Toronto. His writing has been published in magazines and newspapers around the world and on-line. He wrote many of the Ontario entries for this book. Julie V. Watson is a prolific writer based in Prince Edward Island with 28 books and numerous articles to her credit. Her writing focuses on Canada's Maritime provinces, travel, food, lifestyles, seniors, and entrepreneurship. Julie and her husband travel extensively in the family RV where Julie writes along the way. The award-winning writer shares her passion for writing, POD publishing, and scrapbooking through workshops across Canada, working with her son-Vancouver photographer John Watson. She is the author of Frommer's Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island and she wrote the entries on those provinces for this book.
