Samuel Johnson (1846-1901) fue un clérigo, historiador y educador yoruba nacido en Hastings, Sierra Leona, en el seno de una familia de origen nigeriano. Ordenado ministro de la Iglesia Anglicana, dedicó gran parte de su vida a la enseñanza y a la labor pastoral en Oyo, Nigeria.
