Not illustrated.1908 Excerpt: ... time, as often as he shall receive copper cents and'half cents from the treasurer of the Mint, to send them to the bank or branch banks of the United States, in each of the States where such Dank is established; and wherjs there is no bank established, then to the collector of the principal town in such State (in the proportion of the number of inhabitants of such State) to be by such bank or collector, mid out to the citizens of the State for cash, in sums not ess than ten dollars value; and that the same be done at the risk and expense of the United States, under such regulations as shall be prescribed by the Department of the Treasury. Approved, March 3, 1795. Chap. XI.--An act supplementary to the act intituled "An act regulating statute n. foreign coins, and for other purpose." Feb x 1798 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives obsolete, of'theUnited States ofAmerica in Congress assembled, Thatrrach.6. e '9' the second section of an act, intituled "An act regulating 174eL%ende'd9' foreign coins, and for other purposes," be, and the same is hereby suspended, for and during the space of three years from and after the first day of J. mary, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight, and until the end of the next session of Congress thereafter, during which time the said gold and silver coins shall be and continue a legal tender, as is provided in and by the first section of the act aforesaid; and that the same coins shall thereafter cease to be such tender.
