He is the team lead for MySQL Utilities and has over eight years experience in developing the MySQL server. He lives in a small town in rural Virginia with his loving wife, and received his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. His research interests include database systems, versioning systems, semantic web, and agile software development.
