In the chapter of George Husmann's excellent work " On the Cultivation of the Native Grape," wherein he treats of the soil and locations for vineyards, he states that " he was much struck by the force of a remark made by a medical friend last summer, when, in consequence of the continual rains, the ague was very prevalent."
