Their home was his home. He came back to Ohio January 11,1882, less than one year prior to the election. W. J. Briggs (twenty-one years old September 15, 1882). Ques. 9. State when, if at all, your mother and step-father removed from the Ohio side of the line, at Union City, into the State of Indiana, and where they went.--Ans. It was along about the last of November, 1880, as near as I can recollect. Ques. 10. State where you went when they so removed.--Ans. I went along with them when they moved. Ques. 11. To what place or locality in Indiana did they and you remove?--Ans. To Union City, Randolph County, Indiana, on the other side of the town front wheie we bad been. Ques. 13. Where did you then go, and who, if anybody, went with you f--Ans. I went about fonr miles west of Union City, in Indiaua, in the same county; my stepfather and my mother went with me. Qaes. 14. How long did you remain in this last plaoe to which you removed, and what did you do there f--Ans. I remained there about ten months, and followed chopping wood for a living. Qaes. 15. State as nearly as possible the date when you left that place, and where yoa then went.--Aus. I left there about the 11th of January, 1882, and came to Greene County, Jefferson Township, Ohio.
