I Have this day deposited with Mr. the following articles:--to be held by him as a Collateral Security for payment of a certain Bill of Exchange, dated the for the payment of £ at months after date. And, should such Bill not be paid when the same becomes due, I do authorize and empower the said Mr., his executors, administrators, and assigns, to sell and dispose of the said articles, or any of them, either by public sale or private contract, and out of the proceeds thereof to pay the expenses incident to such sale, and to retain the amount of the said Bill, together with interest thereon after the rate of pounds per cent per annum, front the time the said Bill becomes due until such retainer, or so much and such part as shall remain unpaid.
