Mustafa Mahamid, Ph.D., S.E., P.E., F.SEI, F. ASCE (Chicago, IL), is a clinical associate professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He previously practiced as a structural engineer at GRAEF and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Dr. Mahamid is the editor of the forthcoming Fifth Edition of the Structural Engineering Handbook.
