Excerpt from Moses and Modern Science
F we make our first approach to the Bible on the side of the Old Testament, we see much that looks to us, at first sight, unlike what we might expect to find in a volume given to us by divine inspiration. We meet, at the very out set, with an account of the creation of the world which seems to be essentially at variance with modern science, and of an apparently universal deluge which the philosophy of the present day de clares to have been impossible; we encounter a chronology which does not leave room for the peopling of the world with those multitudes of men which must have existed at certain given periods, or for the succession of national and of natural changes which archaeologists and geologists assert to have taken place since man first appeared on earth; we find a history which, according to our fallible judg.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a daring reconciliation of the biblical account of creation with modern scientific discoveries. The author begins by acknowledging the seeming incompatibility between the six days of creation and the vast geological periods revealed by science. He then proposes a novel interpretation that aligns these narratives, suggesting the six days represent epochs of millions of years each. Drawing on astronomy, geology, and biblical exegesis, the author uncovers striking parallels between the sequence of creation events in Genesis and the major stages of planetary formation. The book explores the Nebular Hypothesis, which posits that the universe originated from a vast cloud of dust and gas, and shows how this aligns with the biblical description of darkness and void. Furthermore, the author examines the appearance of light, the formation of the sun and moon, and the emergence of life, arguing that these processes took place over epochs, not literal days. Concluding with the significance of the book's insights, the author emphasizes that his interpretation not only resolves the conflict between science and religion but also underscores the profound wisdom and foresight of the ancient writers who penned the biblical account of creation.
