Excerpt from A Text-Book of Physics
The order in which the various branches of the subject are presented and, in smaller measure, the treatment of the subject matter of such subdivisions has been determined by a desire to present each subject in such manner that nothing is taken for granted which has not been demonstrated or proven in some preceding section. It is believed that such an arrange ment is of the very highest importance, and that this, rather than any other consideration, perhaps, should determine the sequence of the various subdivisions of the general subject.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book on elementary Physics, presents an introduction to the science of Physics, with particular emphasis on the practical aspects of the subject. It lays great focus on mechanics, treating topics such as force, torque, accelerated motion, energy transformations, and moment of inertia. Vector analysis, a mathematical method especially suitable for Physics, is given special prominence throughout the book, in order to help readers understand the concepts clearly. Despite its scientific approach, this book uses algebraic and geometric rather than calculus-based explanations. By doing so, it strives to make the subject more accessible to students and general readers who may not have specialized knowledge in mathematics.
