Excerpt from The Foundations of Geometry
This book is logically sound, and that consequently the more it is discussed and criticised, the more firmly will it become established. I shall therefore be very glad to see any criticisms of my views, whether friendly or hostile, either in the public press, or addressed to me privately, at the address given below. But I have already found that, the subject being such a wide one, criticism is apt to become discursive; and with a view to keeping it to the point I would suggest to my critics and opponents in argument that they should consider categorically the following questions.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book presents an innovative theory of geometry founded on two essential concepts: position and direction. While the concept of position has been somewhat explored, the geometry in this book emphasizes the pivotal role of direction. The author argues that not only are these the foundational concepts of geometry, but also of our spatial experience itself. The author challenges Euclidean geometry as an accurate depiction of space and instead presents his own subjective theory of geometry. His critique of Euclidean geometry notably focuses on its reliance on the problematic parallel postulate. By rejecting this assumption and introducing direction as a fundamental concept, the author develops an alternative framework for understanding spatial relationships. This book will appeal to those interested in the foundations of geometry and mathematics as well as those interested in exploring new ways to conceptualize and measure space and direction. Its insights provide a fresh perspective on the nature of geometry and its relation to our understanding of the world around us.
