Many things as goods, chattels, lands, etc., have a use value to many persons in different degrees both as between the things themselves and also as between the several persons. Hence such things which are capable of delivery or transfer, become exchangeable between those persons to whom they have a use value, because of their greater utility to one or more than to others. 15t things, therefore, are said to have exchange value.
