Excerpt from Life Questions of School Boys
1. These brief outlines of discussions have been prepared at the request of Mr. David R. Porter, secretary in charge of the work in preparatory and high schools of the International Committee of the Young Men's Christian Associations, and to Mr. Por ter I owe many valuable suggestions. The method of treatment, as well as the topics themselves, have been the outcome of experiences as a boy, as a teacher, as a father. At the age when most boys are in the preparatory and high schools these great funda mental moral questions must come before them. They will be thought of; they will be answered. It is of vital importance that they be answered wisely.
