WE shall not detain you with an extended argu ment to prove the doctrine of a Divine Providence. It is a fact of natural and revealed religion. It would be as rational to deny the existence of God as to controvert His Providence. The power which created is alone sufficient to uphold all things. The perfections Of God, the nature of man, the order Of the universe_ - all add their testimony to the truth so frequently and so explicitly stated in the Bible, that God sits upon the throne of universal do minion.
