Henry morgan was born in Newtown, Ct., March 7th, 1825. At the age Of four years he lost his father, who was an inn-keeper, and who left but little for the support Of the family. The family consisted Of a mother and two sons. The elder son was brought up by the family Of a relative, but Henry, during his boyhood, remained with his mother, and received from her the formation Of his character.
