Caedmon. - The other poem is the Bible epic called Caed mon's (kadmou's) Paraphrase. The only manuscript Of it that remains, Contains the first twenty-three chapters Of Gen esis, the thirteenth and fourteenth chapters Of Exodus, a part Of the last chapter Of Second Chronicles, the first five chap ters Of Daniel, and lines upon Christ and Satan. There are parts Of Genesis and Paradise Lost that resemble each other, but not a particle Of evidence exists to Show that Mil ton borrowed' any thing from Caedmon.
